Live demo
Try Ropeline live, in your browser
Not sure about installing a security plugin you haven't heard of? Try it first. A temporary WordPress runs in your browser, Ropeline stops a simulated attack, and you see exactly what it caught. Nothing touches your site.
It takes about 20 seconds to start. It runs on WordPress Playground, made by the WordPress project, and disappears when you close the tab.
What the demo does
- Starts a fresh WordPress and installs the free Ropeline plugin from WordPress.org, the same copy you'd install.
- Turns learning mode off. On your site Ropeline only watches for its first 7 days, so you can see what it would stop before it stops anything. The demo skips that week.
- Runs a simulated attack through WordPress's own login code: one address guessing the admin password 12 times, a botnet of 40 addresses trying the same account, and someone trying usernames that don't exist.
- Opens Ropeline's Overview, signed in as the admin, with everything it stopped and watched.
Things to try
- Look at the Activity list: the lockout after 5 wrong passwords, and the botnet stopped at the admin account.
- Under A customer cannot get in?, unlock an address, the way you'd let a real customer back in.
- Open Ropeline, Settings and change the lockout limit or learning mode.
What the demo doesn't show
It's the free plugin, which guards your login. Ropeline Pro, the paid add-on, guards your checkout against card testing, your signup and contact forms, and joins the live Ropeline Network. To see Pro on your own store, start its 14-day free trial.
The free plugin is on WordPress.org: in WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin and search for Ropeline.
Running a WooCommerce store? Ropeline Pro's Store plan is $0 for 14 days, then $15 a month for stores with up to 500 orders a month.
